for her first walk around the block. The
fall foliage provided some great views,
but she didn't get to see much since she
slept the whole way. New

Mackenzie is a week old! She gained some
weight, overcame slight jaundice (see blue
light treatment left), and is feeding better
every day. In honor of her blue glow, here

miniPadilla, now known as Mackenzie, arrived
at 12:37 am. So much for the Nov 15th due
date. She's 20" long and weighs 6 lbs.
Mom is doing fine in spite of a short (4
hour labor, 17 minutes of pushing) but intense
labor.

with gifts at the miniPadilla baby shower

is in many ways the opposite of a baby (she's
19 yrs old and is prone to attacking us),
she's the closest thing we have to one right
now.
